# Le Saux: Musonda should leave Chelsea for Tottenham

In recent weeks, Charly Musonda has been very outspoken about his situation at Chelsea currently and more specifically, his displeasure with it.

The Belgium youth international returned to Chelsea from a loan spell with Real Betis in January to not feature at all in the Blues’ run to securing the Premier League title last season.

So far this season, Musonda has been a regular in the first-team picture but he’s made just two Premier League appearances, both off the bench, but did score on his first start for the club in a Carabao Cup win over Nottingham Forest.

Musonda posted on Instagram suggesting that his hard work is not being rewarded at Chelsea and former defender Graeme Le Saux has offered his opinion on the subject.

Speaking to the [Daily Star](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/653318/Chelsea-Tottenham-Charly-Musonda-Transfer-News-Rumours-Gossip), Le Saux has said it was risky of Musonda to air his frustrations on social media but acknowledges it’s tough for young players to come through at Chelsea.

> That looks a risky strategy for getting first-team opportunities if you ask me! Unfortunately bringing youth through is not the Chelsea model at the moment.

Le Saux has pointed out that Chelsea have perhaps misjudged a number of their young players who are now key players for league rivals after not being afforded an opportunity at Stamford Bridge.

> A string of very good players have moved on from the club \[Chelsea\] and now play at the very highest level in the Premier League.

> Look at \[Manchester City midfielder\] Kevin De Bruyne and \[Manchester United striker\] Romelu Lukaku for two examples.

Chelsea’s rivals Tottenham have a strong record blooding their youngsters in the first-team and Le Saux has suggested that maybe Musonda needs to make the switch to North London if he wants to play every week.

> The one club that does youth a chance is Tottenham. Maybe Musonda needs to move across London for his chance to shine?!

Musonda is highly-rated at Chelsea and coveted across Europe and if the Blues don’t satisfy his demands then they do run the risk of losing him.
