# Chelsea looking at RB Leipzig keeper Peter Gulacsi

Sources close to Bundesliga side Red Bull Leipzig have told [ESPN](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/3251894/arsenal-chelsea-keeping-tabs-on-rb-leipzig-goalkeeper-peter-gulacsi-sources) that Chelsea, along with Arsenal, are monitoring former Liverpool goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi,

Gulacsi is thought of very highly in Germany and is currently in his third season with Leipzig. There were reportedly two Premier League scouts watching Gulacsi as Leipzig lost 2-0 to Bayern Munich last week, with Chelsea believed to be one of them.

Chelsea are considering their options with a potential offer for the Hungarian international, with current number one Thibaut Courtois yet to put pen to paper on a new deal, as Real Madrid contemplate making a move for the Belgian.

Courtois’ current deal expires in 2019, and it is thought the player wants his £90,000 a week wage doubled to remain at Stamford Bridge.

The 27-year-old has had a solid start to the current campaign, only conceding 11 goals in nine appearances so far in the Bundesliga as Leipzig sit third in the table.
