# Five things to watch for when Chelsea face Manchester United

Chelsea are in dire need of a win after their Halloween horror show in Rome.

Antonio Conte has [admitted](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/antonio-conte-retains-backing-chelsea-11449686) his side need to pick up three points against Manchester United on Sunday if they are to keep any hopes of a title challenge alive.

Against Roma, Chelsea were lacking of any sort of quality you would come to expect from a side currently holding the Premier League crown.

Their performance was summed up most, perhaps, in the chance from Diego Perotti to make it 4-0. The entire Blues defence crowded around Edin Dzeko, only to leave Perotti unmarked in the box, but he squandered a glorious chance.

Chelsea’s defence is in serious need of improvement, with individual mistakes and poor communication across the back line proving to be a recurring issue.

This issue needs to be rectified immediately, as United come to the Bridge with a boost of confidence after beating Tottenham in the league and Benfica in the Champions League.

Here are five things to look out for in Sunday’s must-win game for the Blues at Stamford Bridge.
