Chelsea were known for their well-drilled defence when they lifted the Premier League title during Antonio Conte’s first season in charge of the club.
So far during the Italian’s second season at the Bridge, things have been quite the opposite.
Chelsea’s back three have looked suspect and unsure. Andreas Christensen returned from his loan spell in the Bundesliga and has seem game time hard to come by, while Antonio Rudiger has shown signs that he is still adjusting to Premier League football.
Conte may look to add to his backline in an attempt to tighten things up at the back in January.
