Chelsea legend and all-time top scorer Frank Lampard has praised Chelsea duo Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard on their recent partnership up front, in an exclusive interview with Omnisport, as per Four Four Two.
Morata, Chelsea’s top scorer so far with eight goals, has been joined at the top of the pitch in recent weeks by Hazard, as boss Antonio Conte has decided to play with an extra man in midfield, allowing the aforementioned duo the license to link up in the final third.
The pair have been Chelsea’s stand out performers so far this campaign and when asked about Hazard, Lampard was quick to point out the Belgian’s newly found partnership with striker Morata as a key factor in Hazard’s success during the current season.
For me Eden Hazard is the key player for Chelsea, I think he’s improving and he’s in his prime, and particularly the link between Hazard and Morata, when they’re playing close together and at the top of their game, makes Chelsea a very dangerous team.
And with Morata now back to full fitness after a recent hamstring problem, the duo could have a big part to play in the path Chelsea’s season takes from now until May.
