# Morata hails Conte as more tactical than Zidane

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has been discussing the differences between Blues boss Antonio Conte and Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.

Speaking to Spanish news outlet AS whilst on international duty, as covered by [FourFourTwo](https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/conte-more-tactical-zidane-says-morata), the Chelsea forward compared the two managers, and although he highlighted some differences, insisted that the main similarity is that both have a “winning mentality”.

> They are two coaches with a winning mentality.

Despite this though, Morata believes that Conte puts more of an emphasis on his tactical approach, and spoke of how the Italian chief aims to control games more than Zidane does.

> Conte is much more tactical and has more control on the way we play. He is a very passionate person who lives it a lot. Zizou (Zidane) is also a winner in his own way.

Morata struggled for game time under Zidane at Real Madrid, with Karim Benzema often ahead of him in the pecking order.

However, he has been something of a talismanic figure for Chelsea since his summer arrival, and has a well documented bond with current boss Conte.

Morata is Chelsea’s leading goal scorer at this early stage, and has enjoyed a strong start to life in English football.
