Over the last few years, Eden Hazard has been spoken about in that group of players just below the Lionel Messi’s and Cristiano Ronaldo’s of this world, but it’s always been rumoured that the Belgian could leave for La Liga to play alongside one of them.
Real Madrid have been long-term admirers of Hazard dating back to his Lille days but it’s Barcelona who are being linked with the attacking midfielder as Messi personally recommends signing the player.
Having failed to adequately replace Neymar, Barcelona are still looking for another versatile attacker to add to their forward line and Messi has requested that the Catalan side move to sign Hazard after reports surfaced that Madrid were cooling their interest in him.

Hazard has been in fine form so far this season, scoring five goals and laying on four assists in 15 appearances across all competitions.
Barcelona failed to sign Coutinho from Liverpool in the summer despite offers in excess of £120m and it would likely take a larger fee to even bring Chelsea to the negotiating table.
