Conte urges Chelsea to complete Sanchez deal
Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has urged the Premier League champions to complete the signing of Alexis Sanchez this month.
Speaking at his weekly pre-match press conference, as reported by the Telegraph, Conte was quizzed on Sanchez, who is in the middle of a tug of war between both Manchester City and Manchester United.
I think it is a good investment. We are talking about a top player and you can buy him for a price not so high. The amount is around £20 million. Maybe a normal price for Alexis Sánchez is €80-90m. This is my opinion.
The Chilean is out of contract at the end of the season but reports are suggesting Arsenal could sell in January for a cut price.
The former Barcelona attacker is a player that Conte knows well, he tried to sign him for Juventus during his time in Italy.
While Udinese Sanchez caught Conte’s eye, but the Chilean opted to join Barcelona and Pep Guardiola over a move to Turin.
A lack of transfer business has been at the forefront of Conte’s mind as the Italian continues to clash with the Chelsea board over their contrasting policies.
