# Hazard happy at Chelsea amid links with Real Madrid

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has spoken about his future at the club after months of talk regarding a move to Real Madrid, as reported by [Football London](https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/news/hazard-chelsea-contract-madrid-transfer-14305727).

He has been heavily linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid for some time now as Chelsea try to pen the 27-year-old down to a long-term contract to fend off the Spanish club’s interest.

Manchester City are also thought to have shown an interest in the player, although the Blues are reluctant to sell to a Premier League rival.

The Belgian has had another fine season despite starting it on the sidelines, netting 18 goals in just 31 games and has played a key role in the Blues’ system so far this term.

When the 27-year-old doesn’t feature for Chelsea, it’s clear for all to see just how much they miss the player due to the quality which he possesses.

Whilst he didn’t rule out a move away, Hazard said he was happy at the club.

> In football anything can happen. But in football nothing can happen too. Every year they talk about Real or PSG. And when I want to change clubs, I will. But at the moment I’m good where I am.

> I still have two year left on my contract. I feel very good over here. The fans love me, my family enjoys life over here. We will see.
