# Eden Hazard says he and Lionel Messi are “completely different”

Speaking before Chelsea’s Champions League Last 16 clash with Barcelona, Eden Hazard was asked about the comparisons between himself and Lionel Messi.

The 27-year-old was flattered to be spoken about in the same regard as one of the best players of all time, but he said that he is completely different than the Argentine superstar.

He said:

> First it is good to be compared with the greatest ever, but I am completely different. We play in different leagues, I try and do my job, I try to reach that level, their level, because they are the best in the world. To play against Messi is always good, I did once in the World Cup and we lost the game so I hope tomorrow is going to be different.

Hazard also spoke about his future, given the speculation about where he might end up, and he was rather coy with his answer, insisting that his focus was soley on the game with the La Liga giants.

> First, I see the game tomorrow. We are going to face Barca. I have played for Chelsea for six years and I am happy here. I have two years left on my contract. I don’t think a lot about the future.
