# Chelsea fear that Eden Hazard will leave this summer

Current Premier League champions Chelsea are reportedly fearing that Belgian superstar Eden Hazard will leave the club in the summer transfer window, according to a report on [Football London.](https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/transfer-news/hazard-courtois-contract-chelsea-conte-14418725)

The winger has been strongly linked with moves to Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid and French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain in recent transfer windows.

His current deal with Chelsea expires in 2020 but the winger has not yet opened talks about extending his deal, even though the club are prepared to make him the highest paid player by offering him £300,000-a-week.

The Blues fear that Hazard may finally decide that he wants to leave the club if they do not secure a top four finish this season.

Chelsea are currently four points away from fourth position with the season coming close to the end and look highly unlikely to finish in the top four.

The London club have also been knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by Barcelona in the round of 16, meaning that finishing outside of the top four will give them a spot in the UEFA Europa League next season.

Hazard has ambitions of winning the Champions League and if Chelsea can’t secure participation in the competition for next season, the Belgian could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.
