# Morata’s wage demands could prevent Juventus’ summer move

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is being heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer.

A number of outfits across European football have been touted as potential destinations for the Spaniard, who has endured a difficult introduction to English football this term.

Serie A champions Juventus are one side to have been heavily linked with Morata and it seems that their interest in a summer swoop is genuine.

Massimiliano Allegri’s men are already well-stocked when it comes to striking options but if reports are to be believed, they’d like to re-sign Morata to bolster their attacking reinforcements.

However, according to [fresh claims from Italy](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/juve-morata-le-cifre-dell-ingaggio-per-il-ritorno-67299), the financial side of any deal for Morata could prove to be difficult for Juventus to conclude.

It’s claimed that the Spain international is currently earning a wage packet of £160,000 per week at Stamford Bridge – an expenditure which could be difficult for Juve to match.

This may well prove to be a stumbling block for Juventus as they pursue a deal for Morata, given the financial benefits he is currently enjoying in West London.
