# Chelsea ready to move Pasalic on with Fiorentina keen

Chelsea are ready to sell Mario Pasalic on a permanent basis this summer, with the club disappointed in the rate of his development.

According to reports in Italy from La Nazione, as cited on [Calcio Mercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/report-fiorentina-s-offer-for-chelsea-owned-midfielder-11899), Fiorentina are interested in signing the player.

La Viola are keen to snap up the Croatian midfielder on loan with the obligation to buy.

The report claims that the deal would eventually be worth around €9 million.

Pasalic was once highly thought of at Stamford Bridge, but he spent last season on loan at Spartak Moscow.

The move to Russia was seen as something of a gift to help Massimo Carrera, who previously worked under Antonio Conte.

The midfielder impressed during a stint at AC Milan during the 2016/17 season, which prompted calls for him to be given a chance at Stamford Bridge, but he was unable to break into the Chelsea squad and now looks set to secure a permanent move elsewhere.
