# Napoli only willing to pay €15m for Luiz

Napoli are only willing to pay €15 million for Chelsea defender David Luiz this summer.

Il Mattino, as cited on [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/serie-side-prepared-pay-e15m-chelsea-defender-certainly-not-26m/), reports that the Naples club are not prepared to pay the €30 million that had been suggested in previous [reports](https://readchelsea.com/2018/06/26/napoli-preparing-bid-for-david-luiz/).

The Brazilian looks set to leave Chelsea for a second time this summer, with the Blues [planning](https://readchelsea.com/2018/06/27/ruganis-agent-says-chelsea-move-is-delayed-by-sarris-announcement/) a move for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani once Maurizio Sarri is appointed.

Luiz fell out of favour at Stamford Bridge during the second half of the season.

A mixture of injury worries and a reported bust-up with head coach Antonio Conte restricted him to just a handful of appearances in 2018.

Having recently turned 31, Chelsea could look to move Luiz on this summer whilst he still has some sell-on value.

Raul Albiol is closing in on a move away from Naples, with Villarreal keen on the Spaniard and Luiz could be viewed as a direct replacement.
