# Sarri arrives in London amid Chelsea move

Former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is reportedly in London as he closes in on the Chelsea job.

[Simon Johnson of the London Evening Standard](https://twitter.com/sjstandardsport/status/1017749683081502721) reports that the 59-year-old flew into the capital this morning.

He is widely expected to be confirmed as Antonio Conte’s successor imminently.

It was [confirmed](https://readchelsea.com/2018/07/13/chelsea-sack-antonio-conte/) by Chelsea this morning that Conte has officially left the club, despite it being widely reported on Thursday.

The former Napoli boss has had a deal agreed to take over at Chelsea for some time, but the move has been held up by both clubs.

Chelsea have been discussing a compensation deal for Conte and his staff members, while also holding talks with Napoli over a fee for Sarri.

Sarri guided Napoli to a second place finish in Serie A last season with an astonishing 91 points, narrowly missing out on the Scudetto to Juventus.
