# Chelsea express interest in signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Chelsea have expressed an interest in Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to a report from Italian outlet [Corriere dello Sport](https://www.corrieredellosport.it/news/calcio/calcio-mercato/2018/07/15-45389927/lazio_anche_il_chelsea_per_milinkovic-savic/?cookieAccept).

Maurizio Sarri’s appointment as Chelsea boss has seemingly kick-started the club’s transfer activity and they’ve expressed an interest in signing the 23-year-old.

Manchester United are keen to sign Milinkovic-Savic, as are Barcelona, and as such, Lazio have apparently put a whopping £115m price tag on his head.

However, [Corriere dello Sport](https://www.corrieredellosport.it/news/calcio/calcio-mercato/2018/07/15-45389927/lazio_anche_il_chelsea_per_milinkovic-savic/?cookieAccept) suggest that Chelsea will try to reduce that fee by offering a player-plus-cash deal, one which would see Cesc Fabregas join Lazio.

The Serie A side were originally not interested in selling Milinkovic-Savic, but with interest in him so high, their position has now softened and as such, Chelsea have made their move.
