# Sarri requests €35m Callejon deal

New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has reporteldy requested that the club sanction a deal to sign Jose Callejon.

[Tuttosport, as cited on Calcio Mercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/callejon-futuro-incerto-tentato-da-milan-e-chelsea-93266), claims that the player is facing an uncertain future with Napoli.

Both Chelsea and AC Milan are now believed to be keeping tabs on the player who has a €35 million release clause in his current deal.

The idea of a swap deal involving in both Callejon and Milan’s Suso has been discussed between the two Italian sides, but Chelsea’s interest could scupper the Rossoneri’s chances.

Callejon was a key figure in Sarri’s Napoli side and he has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge since it became clear that the Italian would be taking over at the club.

The former Real Madrid winger will turn 32 in February and it is yet to be seen if the Blues would be willing to spend as much as €35 million on the Spaniard.
