# Milan need to sell before pursuing Morata deal

AC Milan reportedly need to sell one of two first-team players before they can push for a move to sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea.

According to reports in Italy from [Corriere dello Sport](https://www.corrieredellosport.it/news/calcio/calcio-mercato/2018/07/18-45502399/calciomercato_milan_alla_cassa_donnarumma_verso_il_chelsea/), either Suso or Gianluigi Donnarumma may be forced out of the San Siro this summer.

Milan have found themselves in tricky financial situations in recent years and their off-the-field worries have continued into the summer transfer window.

Despite entering a new ownership, there is still said to be a need to balance the books.

Suso and Donnarumma, who ironically are both being linked with moves to London, remain two of the most valuable assets in the current squad.

Milan are keen on a deal to sign Morata, who is facing a bleak future at Chelsea but need the necessary funds.

With Gonzalo Higuain being heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, it appears that Chelsea are ready to cut their losses on the former Real Madrid man.
