# Inter enter the running to sign Bakayoko

Serie A side Inter are the latest team to join the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer.

French outlet [Le10 Sport reports](https://le10sport.com/football/mercato/exclu-mercato-chelsea-deux-nouveaux-clubs-pour-tiemoue-bakayoko-390099) that Inter will rival both Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund for the player’s signature this summer.

Sevilla had been hoping to sign the player on loan, but according to other [reports emerging from France](https://readchelsea.com/2018/07/19/bakayokos-sevilla-loan-move-unlikely-as-agents-fail-to-show-up-to-meeting/), a deal is unlikely after his representatives failed to attend a meeting with the Spanish club.

The report does not specify whether or not Inter are also looking to sign the player on a permanent basis or on loan, but the latter appears the most likely option.

Having qualified for the Champions League last season, Bakayoko could be considered as an option to provide some valuable squad depth at the San Siro.

It has already been [suggested](https://readchelsea.com/2018/07/18/bakayoko-free-to-leave-as-he-does-not-fit-into-sarris-plans/) that the French midfielder does not fit into Maurizio Sarri’s plans, with Jorginho recently joining the club from Napoli, casting doubts over his long-term future in London.
