# Chelsea and Inter set for transfer talks ahead of pre-season friendly

Chelsea and Inter will reportedly hold transfer talks when the two sides meet in Nice over the weekend.

[Gazzetta dello Sport reports](https://www.gazzetta.it/Calciomercato/24-07-2018/inter-zappacosta-alternativa-vrsaljko-mercato-croazia-atletico-chelsea-280878701024.shtml) that the Italians could look to discuss a deal for Davide Zappacosta, who is already being linked with an early exit from the club.

Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio is expected in France as the two sides continue their pre-season preparations.

There is also the potential for a number of deals to take place between both clubs during the current transfer window.

Inter are reportedly interested in French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is facing an uncertain future in London after struggling his first season at Chelsea.

Maurizio Sarri is also keen on bringing Matias Vecino to Stamford Bridge, having previously worked with him at Empoli.

Chelsea played their first pre-season match this week, beating Perth Glory 1-0, while Inter warmed up for the game with a 1-1 draw against Championship side Sheffield United.
