# Leverkusen not interested in selling Bailey

Bayer Leverkusen are not interested in selling Leon Bailey this summer, despite interest from Chelsea and Roma.

[As reported by TalkSPORT, who cite reports in Italy](https://talksport.com/football/406059/chelsea-transfer-news-bayer-leverkusen-leon-bailey/), Leverkusen are adamant that the player will be staying put.

Bailey has been a long-term target for Chelsea, who could be in the market for a winger if either Eden Hazard or Willian leave in the not too distant future.

The Jamaican-born winger was one of the standout performers in the Bundesliga last season and is a player Chelsea have had on their radar for some time now.

Roma were also said to be interested in a deal to sign Bailey after they missed out on Malcom, who snubbed a move to Italy to join Barcelona at the last minute.

The 20-year-old is under contract until 2022 with the Bundesliga outfit and is undoubtedly going to attract more interest in the coming months or years.
