# PSG not put off by Kante’s bumper new Chelsea contract

Paris Saint-Germain are not worried about the prospect of N’Golo Kante signing a bumper new deal at Chelsea.

[The Mirror reports](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/paris-saint-germain-still-want-13011149) that the French side maintain an interest in the player, despite suggestions that Chelsea were looking to secure his long-term future.

Chelsea are [ready to make the midfielder the club’s highest paid player](https://readchelsea.com/2018/07/31/chelsea-to-make-kante-the-clubs-highest-earner-amid-psg-interest/) with a new five-year deal to ward off any interest from PSG.

The Blues are offering Kante a massive £290,000-a-week deal to stay at Stamford Bridge.

The Ligue 1 champions are interested in bringing the player back to France after an impressive World Cup.

Kante played a key role in the French side that lifted the World Cup in Russia, which has sparked serious interest in his services.

Maurizio Sarri is facing a battle to keep his best players at the club this summer. Eden Hazard, Willian and Thibaut Courtois are all being linked with moves away from London.
