# Eden Hazard comments on his Chelsea future

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has revealed that he intends to remain at Stamford Bridge for the upcoming season, dismissing rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid, [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en/news/hazard-ends-real-madrid-hopes-as-he-confirms-chelsea-stay/1rrlk17qxhp5a1txkvjrqrjul3) report.

The Belgian had been strongly linked with a move to the Spanish giants this summer, with his international team-mate Thibaut Courtois leaving Stamford Bridge for the Bernabeu earlier in the window.

The 27-year-old has featured in both of Chelsea’s league games this season under new boss Maurizio Sarri, coming off the bench in the 3-0 away win at Huddersfield and the 3-2 derby victory over Arsenal on Saturday.

Talking to [RMC Sport](https://rmcsport.bfmtv.com/mediaplayer/video/hazard-je-ne-partirai-pas-de-chelsea-1095437.html) after the win against Arsenal, Hazard, who set up Marcos Alonso for the winner, pledged his future to the Blues for the upcoming campaign.

> Many things have been said – nonsense and everything.

> For now, I’m happy. I still have two years of contract \[left\] and we’ll see what happens. I will not leave \[this year\].

> The transfer window in England is already closed. We can sell but we cannot sign players.

> It would be a bit strange for \[Chelsea\] to let me go and not recruit another player.

> We could see \[against Arsenal\] that the fans like me a lot. I feel good here. We’ll see what happens in a year or two years.

The Spanish transfer window remains open until the end of the month, with Real Madrid still looking to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who left for Juventus at the beginning of the summer.
