# Barcelona following Kante at Chelsea

Barcelona are reportedly joining Paris Saint-Germain in the hunt to sign N’Golo Kante from Chelsea.

According to [Calciomercato, who cite Sportmediaset](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/barcellona-sfida-al-psg-per-kante-75479), the La Liga champions are interested in signing the Frenchman and are ‘following’ him closely at Stamford Bridge.

Kante was heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer, with PSG ready to splash the cash to try and take him to France.

After playing a key role in France’s World Cup win, there was a desire for him to fill the void left in the PSG midfield.

However, Chelsea refused to sell and are now looking to tie him down to a long-term contract.

Kante has been influential in the Chelsea side since joining the club from Leicester, playing a key role in their title win under Antonio Conte.

Under Maurizio Sarri, Kante is being deployed in a slightly higher, more attacking position and his performances have been equally as impressive.
