# Milan expect Chelsea target Suso to sign new deal

Milan are hopeful that Chelsea target Suso will put pen to paper on a new deal at the club.

[Reports in Italy claim](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/suso-fa-100-col-milan-punta-al-gol-disperso-e-al-rinnovo-atteso--97984) that the player is expected to sign a new deal at the San Siro in the future, ending rumours of a move away from the club.

Suso was heavily linked with a big-money exit from the Italian outfit during the summer when it appeared that Milan may have needed to cash in on the former Liverpool man.

Chelsea were among the clubs [to be linked with the player](https://readchelsea.com/2018/09/07/chelsea-tracking-suso-as-they-look-to-utilise-links-with-milan/), with Maurizio Sarri a known admirer.

Roma and Napoli were also believed to be possible destinations for the Spaniard, who has emerged as a key player at Milan in recent years.

Securing the player’s long-term future will come as a huge boost to Milan as they seek a return to the Champions League in the not too distant future.
