# Conte’s links to Real Madrid give Chelsea huge Hazard boost

Chelsea will be boosted by the news that Real Madrid are considering Antonio Conte as a potential replacement for Julen Lopetegui.

[According to reports from the Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/eden-hazard-boost-chelsea-real-13461809), Real have earmarked the former Chelsea head coach as a potential target.

Lopetegui is coming under an increasing amount of pressure in Spain after a poor start to the season.

The reports make for pleasant reading at Stamford Bridge in the knowledge that Conte and Hazard endured a tricky relationship during their time at Chelsea.

The Italian’s inability to consistently bring the best out of Hazard at Chelsea is often credited as one of the major factors in his downfall, that eventually led to him leaving the club over the summer.

Hazard is still longing for a move to Real Madrid, the team in which he has always dreamed of playing for.

However, seeing Conte take over at the Bernabeu may force the Chelsea talisman into re-evaluating his immediate future.
