# Chelsea monitoring Cavani’s situation at PSG

Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on Edinson Cavani’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain.

[According to France Football, as cited on Get French Football News](https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2018/edinson-cavanis-psg-future-remains-uncertain-as-napoli-chelsea-circle/), the Blues and Atletico Madrid are watching from afar.

Cavani is known to be unhappy with the Ligue 1 giants following the arrival of Neymar from Barcelona.

With both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe dominating the headlines in France, the former Napoli forward is once again feeling underappreciated for his efforts at the Parc des Princes.

Atletico and Napoli are both interested in signing him, with the Italian outfit unable to rule out of a romantic return to Naples for the striker.

Diego Simeone is also an admirer with Cavani seemingly a perfect fit for the Argentinian’s demanding tactics.

Maurizio Sarri is frustrated with his options in the final third as neither Olivier Giroud or Alvaro Morata impress on a consistent basis, meaning Chelsea are likely to be in the market for a striker in the near future.

Chelsea turned down the chance to sign Gonzalo Higuain over the summer due to his age, so the club’s stance on a deal for Cavani is yet to be seen.
