# Chelsea not interested in selling Abraham

Chelsea have denied any suggestions that they have plans to sell Tammy Abraham this January.

[Simon Johnson reports](https://twitter.com/sjstandardsport/status/1080456424646471681) that the club have no intention of cashing in on the player, despite contrasting reports stating otherwise.

However, a move away from Aston Villa is not being ruled out at this stage.

With the striker continuing to impress in the Championship, a host of Premier League sides are said to be monitoring his situation.

Chelsea could take the decision to recall the striker and loan him to a top-flight side for the rest of the season.

Concerns over Financial Fair Play have led to claims that Chelsea could cash in on the player in a deal that may well include a buy-back clause, with the striker not in Maurizio Sarri’s immediate plans.

With 16 league goals to his name, Abraham is the joint-highest scorer in the Championship and many believe that the striker has done his time in the second division and should be playing regularly in the Premier League.
