# Sarri hints at wanting to keep Hudson-Odoi

Maurizio Sarri has hinted that he would like Callum Hudson-Odoi to remain a Chelsea player.

The 18-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich this month.

There are many who feel Hudson-Odoi is a special talent, with letting him move on a mistake by Chelsea.

The player himself seems keen on a move, though. which is an obvious issue, especially with new signing Christian Pulisic not arriving until the summer.

Sarri’s [comments](https://metro.co.uk/2019/01/14/maurizio-sarri-hints-chelsea-will-block-callum-hudson-odois-wish-to-join-bayern-munich-8341153/) to reporters suggest he wants him to stay, with the Chelsea boss claiming he is only improving, as he also looks for January reinforcements:

> As I said before, the club knows my opinion, and in my opinion we need two players.

> If you ask me something else then I don’t know what to answer because I am not in charge of the market.

> The bench is not very short. It has been left short in only one position at the moment because I think that Hudson-Odoi is improving.

> In one or two months he will be at the same level as the other players. I hope the same for Ampadu.

It still looks as though Hudson-Odoi will exit to Bayern, but it doesn’t look set to be a decision that goes down well with Sarri.

The youngster has been featuring more of late, but it may not change his stance.
