# Hazard rejects two contract offers from Chelsea

Eden Hazard is said to have rejected two contract offers from Chelsea, with a move to Real Madrid seeming inevitable at this stage.

[According to Spanish newspaper AS, as cited on Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/chelsea-player-rejects-two-offers-extend-contract-clear-goal-another-club/), Chelsea have put forward two proposals for the player, but both have been turned down.

Hazard’s current deal at Stamford Bridge runs until the end of next season, but a summer move to Real Madrid is looking increasingly likely.

Chelsea will be forced to cash in on the player at the end of this season if he does not put pen to paper on a new deal.

The Blues wants to avoid a repeat of Thibaut Courtois’ move to Spain, a deal that left the club with little to no leverage as the player approached the end of his contract.

Hazard has been a long-term target for Madrid and the player himself has never hidden his intention to one day move to Spain.
