# Chelsea table ‘contract offer’ for David Neres

Chelsea and Manchester United have reportedly tabled ‘contract offers’ for Ajax star David Neres.

The Blues had been[linked](https://readchelsea.com/2019/04/12/chelsea-eye-up-summer-move-for-david-neres/) with a summer swoop to sign the Brazilian attacker, whose form has helped the Dutch giants enjoy a memorable season, in which they won the KNVB Cup and the Eredivisie title.

Neres was also particularly impressive in Ajax’s run to the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they exited to Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea appear now to have firmed up their interest in signing the winger, and according to claims from [Euro United via Twitter](https://twitter.com/EuroUnited6/status/1129415466248822784), an offer has been submitted to the player as they pursue a summer deal.

The Blues may have a transfer ban looming over them, but their efforts to tie up deals have seemingly not been deterred, with Neres a target.

However, they are not the only potential suitors for the Ajax star. Euro United claims that Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also in the race.
