# Makelele in talks over role at Chelsea

Chelsea appear to be making their move to reshuffle the club’s hierarchy, with Claude Makelele reportedly in talks over a return to the club.

According to claims from Euro United, the Frenchman is discussing a possible role at Stamford Bridge, with plans in place to make the former fans’ favourite an advisor at board level.

Chelsea seem to be targeting their former players to lead a new approach within the club’s infrastructure.

According to Euro United, Petr Cech could return following his retirement at the end of the season, while previous [reports](https://readchelsea.com/2019/05/21/petr-cech-poised-to-return-as-chelseas-sporting-director/) indicated that he will become the Blues’ new sporting director.

Makelele has coaching experience following a spell at Swansea City, but the emerging news regarding a possible return to West London is set to be solely on an advisory basis for the time being.
