# Lampard pictured in London following reports of Chelsea talks

[According to reports from the Mail Online,](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7129155/Chelsea-legends-Frank-Lampard-Didier-Drogba-catch-London.html) ex-Chelsea legend and Derby County manager Frank Lampard was spotted with friend and ex-colleague Didier Drogba in and around London as rumours heat up about a potential move back to Stamford Bridge.

This follows [reports that emerged earlier this week](https://readchelsea.com/2019/06/11/chelsea-open-lampard-talks-as-they-prepare-for-sarris-departure/) that stated Chelsea have opened talks with Lampard about the managerial role.

Lampard’s Derby County squad failed to gain promotion after a thrilling finish to their season, which saw them face defeat at Wembley in the play-off final against Aston Villa.

Following the season Lampard has had with the Rams, rumours have increased about a move to Stamford Bridge for his second season in the managerial role.

Chelsea’s Maurizio Sarri looks set to leave the club and return to Italy with Juventus. As a result, rumours are heating up about Lampard’s potential return, and he has now been spotted in London which has added more fuel to the fire.

There are a lot of opinions about whether or not Lampard would be a good fit as a manager at Stamford Bridge, some say it’ll be too much for him to handle in just his second season, and others think he’ll be perfect for the job.
