Kenedy is said to be close to joining Championship side Reading on a season-long loan deal, after agreeing a contract extension with the Blues, but should Frank Lampard keep him at the club?
According to TalkReading on Twitter, Kenedy could join the Royals on loan before the transfer deadline, in what would be another surprising departure from the club, following David Luiz’s imminent move to rivals Arsenal.

A move to Reading would certainly be a surprise given how his most recent loan spell was in the Premier League with Newcastle, and while he would almost certainly be guaranteed first team football with the Royals, it would appear a strange move.
Though the Brazilian struggled for consistency at Newcastle, he is clearly a talented player on his day, and is clearly rated at Chelsea given the fact that he signed a contract extension.
Lampard is already known for his desire to give younger players a chance this season, and staying at the club this season will surely be more beneficial to Kenedy’s development than a loan move away.
