# Chelsea Fans Fume over John Terry Snub in Sky Sports Poll

Many Chelsea fans have reacted after former Manchester United player Nemanja Vidic was [voted the Premier League’s greatest centre-back](https://twitter.com/Football__Tweet/status/1324264463726501889) in a Sky Sports poll in which more than 200,000 people voted.

Vidic, who played [211 times in the English top flight](https://www.premierleague.com/players/2935/Nemanja-Vidic/stats), was voted ahead of the likes of teammate Rio Ferdinand and Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk. However, it’s the omission of Chelsea legend [John Terry](https://readchelsea.com/2019/06/25/terry-takes-to-instagram-to-react-to-lampard-latest/) which has riled Blues supporters.

Terry, now an assistant coach at Aston Villa, remains a legend at Stamford Bridge, having made just [eight shy of 500 Premier League outings](https://www.premierleague.com/players/1353/John-Terry/overview) whilst winning [a plethora of silverware](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/john-terry/erfolge/spieler/3160) in a prestigious career.

The former Chelsea captain wasn’t even part of the top four in the votes, as ex-Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany also finished ahead of Terry in the poll.
