# Armando Broja targeted by AC Milan

**Reports out of Italy have suggested that Chelsea striker Armando Broja may be targeted by a leading Serie A club.**

The Albanian has finally broken into the first team at Stamford Bridge, having come through the ranks at Cobham, after productive [back-to-back seasons](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/armando-broja/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/571743/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) on loan at Vitesse Arnhem and Southampton which saw the 21-year-old starlet score 16 times in the Eredivisie and Premier League.

The Albania international has made [six substitute appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/armando-broja/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/571743/plus/0?saison=2022&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) so far this term, but under new manager Graham Potter, he could be handed a starting berth. [The Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/19840408/chelsea-starting-armando-broja-graham-potter/) journalist Alan Nixon has claimed that the marksman has been catching the eye of the 47-year-old, which may point to a more prominent role in the new regime at Chelsea.

However, Broja’s future could lie elsewhere, judging by a report from [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/milan-c-e-broja-per-l-attacco-il-punto-11168).

**Milan have eyes on Broja**

The Italian outlet reported that Serie A champions AC Milan will seek a new number nine next summer. ‘Young prospective profiles’ are expected to be targeted, with Broja among those to be ‘evaluated’.

The same source suggests that, although the 15-cap Albania ace isn’t a ‘goal machine’, his ‘technical qualities and physical structure’ is a ‘profile that fits perfectly with Milan’s football philosophy’.

It is added that, although there is nothing more than a ‘simple interest’ at present, it ‘cannot be ruled out’ that it could become ‘something more’. Relations with Chelsea are thought to be ‘excellent’, and despite the academy product’s recent [contract renewal until 2028](https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/new-contract-for-broja), a deal ‘remains transferable’.

**Could depend on game-time under Potter**

Given that [West Ham](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwirxrGu-Lf6AhVkRUEAHXXxBlEQFnoECAUQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theguardian.com%2Ffootball%2F2022%2Fjul%2F18%2Fwest-ham-submit-improved-bid-for-chelsea-armando-broja&usg=AOvVaw2KZxXMO0JMbDuDyryZh1A5), [Everton](https://twitter.com/footballdaily/status/1543975689900249088) and [Newcastle](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjghMq4-Lf6AhVKfMAKHbo5A7AQFnoECC4QAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.skysports.com%2Ffootball%2Fnews%2F11661%2F12654345%2Farmando-broja-west-ham-newcastle-and-everton-in-race-to-sign-chelsea-and-albania-striker&usg=AOvVaw0pbs6HpZ_9x-H_aF-X2s7D) all showed an interest in the [6 foot 4](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/armando-broja/profil/spieler/571743) forward over the summer, it appears that he won’t be short of suitors if he wishes to leave west London.

However, a regular role in the team may encourage the [€50m-rated](https://football-observatory.com/-values-179331) (£43m) powerhouse to remain at Stamford Bridge, so it will be interesting to see how big of a part he plays under the management of Potter over the next few months.
