# Chelsea would ‘definitely’ consider ‘good offer’ for Kai Havertz – journalist

**Journalist Simon Phillps has claimed that Chelsea would listen to a ‘good offer’ for Kai Havertz and insists it’s a ‘make-or-break season’ for the German.**

Havertz has been a regular feature in the Blues line-up once again this term [starting](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kai-havertz/leistungsdaten/spieler/309400) all but one of their fixtures.

One of Thomas Tuchel’s [most used players](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/thomas-tuchel/eingesetzteSpieler/trainer/7471/plus/0?saison_id=&verein_id=631&liga=&wettbewerb_id=), the 23-year-old was given the nod by Graham Potter in his [first game](https://www.sofascore.com/chelsea-red-bull-salzburg/NsWP) in charge but his position may be [under threat](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/19840408/chelsea-starting-armando-broja-graham-potter/), with Armando Broja catching the English coach’s eye.

The one-time Bayer Leverkusen dynamo was far from his best last season with only Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner and Saul Niguez averaging a lower SofaScore match rating than his [6.83](https://www.sofascore.com/team/football/chelsea/38).

His [only goal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kai-havertz/leistungsdaten/spieler/309400/plus/0?saison=2022) so far this season came against West Ham, ironically his only substitute appearance, and Phillips has [previously stated](https://www.givemesport.com/88060412-chelsea-150k-a-week-star-on-borrowed-time-at-stamford-bridge) that he feels the 6 ft 3 maestro ins on borrowed time.

Now the journalist has claimed that the west Londoners would consider selling the [£150k-per-week](https://www.spotrac.com/epl/chelsea-fc/kai-havertz-50137/) Germany international should his form not improve.

He told [GIVEMESPORT](https://www.givemesport.com/88064757-chelsea-would-listen-to-good-offer-for-150k-a-week-star-at-stamford-bridge): “I think this is a make-or-break season for Kai Havertz. If he doesn’t continue to grow and get better, then I think Chelsea would definitely listen to a good offer if it did come in from Bayern Munich or elsewhere. It really is on Kai Havertz.”

If he can’t up his game Havertz could indeed be ousted, with [Bayern Munich](https://www.chelsea-news.co/2022/09/bayern-munich-expected-to-make-serious-approach-for-chelsea-attacker/) thought to be interested, but at 23 he certainly does have time on his side.
