# O’Rourke: Chelsea target Victor Osimhen “ticks a lot of boxes”

Chelsea target Victor Osimhen “ticks a lot of boxes” for the west London side.

That is according to journalist [Pete O’Rourke](https://www.givemesport.com/88075242-chelsea-58-5m-african-star-could-be-big-success-at-stamford-bridge) who has informed [GIVEMESPORT](https://www.givemesport.com/88075242-chelsea-58-5m-african-star-could-be-big-success-at-stamford-bridge) of the Blues’ interest in the [£58.5million](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/victor-osimhen/leistungsdaten/spieler/401923/plus/0?saison=2021) Napoli striker.

The journalist is confident that the Nigerian would be a success in the Premier League, labelling the star as “powerful, strong \[and\] fast.”

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, O’Rourke [said](https://www.givemesport.com/88075242-chelsea-58-5m-african-star-could-be-big-success-at-stamford-bridge): *“He’s a prolific goalscorer in the Champions League for Napoli as well as in Serie A. I think Osimhen has got the attributes to be a big success in the Premier League.*

*“He’s powerful, strong, fast and he obviously knows where the goal is. For Chelsea, he ticks a lot of boxes.”*

## **Ticks a lot of boxes**

O’Rourke is correct with his latest Osimhen-Chelsea admission.

The star would no doubt be a success in the Premier League, having quite emphatically gone [four straight seasons hitting double scoring figures across three different leagues.](https://www.fotmob.com/players/687681/victor-osimhen)

As such, adaptation period is almost none existent for the Nigerian, having scored [19 goals](https://www.fotmob.com/players/687681/victor-osimhen) during his solitary domestic season in Belgium, [13](https://www.fotmob.com/players/687681/victor-osimhen) in his one Ligue 1 season and a combined [24](https://www.fotmob.com/players/687681/victor-osimhen) in his first two Serie A seasons with Napoli, having hit [ten](https://www.fotmob.com/players/687681/victor-osimhen) in the first and [14](https://www.fotmob.com/players/687681/victor-osimhen) in the second.

The 23-year-old is on track to carry that wondrous goalscoring feat on, with his [four goals in seven Serie A appearances](https://www.fotmob.com/players/687681/victor-osimhen) a sign of further things to come.

Osimhen’s presence as a target man for Chelsea would be felt by Graham Potter and co, with his dynamism through the middle sure to bring a different dimension to the Blues’ attack.
