## Marc Guiu closes in on Chelsea exit

ReadChelsea previously reported that [Chelsea had agreed a surprise permanent Guiu sale following secret talks with Leipzig](https://readchelsea.com/2026/08/28/chelsea-agree-surprise-marc-guiu-sale-after-secret-leipzig-talks/?utm_source=chatgpt.com).

At that stage, Fabrizio Romano confirmed agreements were in place between the clubs and player, with Chelsea also securing a sell-on clause.

Guiu has since travelled to Germany and completed the next major step.

The total package is reportedly worth around **€17million**, including achievable bonuses, while the striker is expected to sign a contract running until 2031.

Chelsea signed Guiu from Barcelona for around €6m in 2024, meaning the deal would deliver a significant return while retaining an interest in any future Leipzig sale.

Only the final paperwork and official announcement now remain.
