# Chelsea revive Francesco Camarda interest despite AC Milan deal

Chelsea have reportedly revived their interest in AC Milan striker Francesco Camarda.

The 18-year-old remains one of Italy’s highest-rated young forwards and has already gained senior Serie A experience.

According to [TEAMtalk](https://www.teamtalk.com/chelsea/francesco-camarda-chelsea-transfer-ac-milan-star-wanted), Chelsea are considering a future move for Camarda despite strong competition for his signature, with a potential 2027 deal under consideration.

There is no suggestion Chelsea have submitted a bid or opened advanced negotiations.

## Camarda tied down by AC Milan

Any move would be difficult.

[AC Milan confirmed](https://www.acmilan.com/en/news/articles/media/2026-07-24/official-statement-francesco-camarda) in July that Camarda had signed a new contract until June 2031, with the club also holding an option for another season.

That puts Milan in a strong negotiating position and underlines how highly they value the striker.

Camarda progressed through Milan’s academy before breaking into senior football at a young age.

## Why Chelsea are interested

The profile fits Chelsea’s recruitment strategy.

The Blues have repeatedly targeted players with significant long-term development potential, with the club’s extensive summer business tracked in our [Chelsea transfer tracker](https://readchelsea.com/2026/08/02/chelsea-summer-transfers-2026-every-signing-and-departure-so-far/).

Camarda would represent another investment in that model rather than an immediate short-term solution.

Chelsea’s reported interest should still be treated as an early-stage development rather than an imminent deal.

Milan have no contractual pressure to sell and any future move would likely require a significant fee.

For now, Camarda is another name to monitor as Chelsea continue planning for the future of their attack.
