Chelsea interim manager, Guus Hiddink has been full of praise for returning defender, Michael Hector after his loan spell at Reading finished.
Speaking on the club’s official website, Hiddink was pleased with the way that the defender has reacted after arriving at the club for the first time.
Hiddink said:
He returned from Reading with Lucas Piazon, he’s been participating well, for me, it was new to see him live and I spoke briefly to him.
Hiddink went on to add:
The speed of action has increased for him and he had to adapt a bit in the first session, but he’s a quick learner. He has to adapt to the pace of the game and the pace of training but it’s a matter of time.

Hector was a summer signing in a surprise move from Reading on transfer deadline day, alongside Senegalese defender, Papy Djilobodji.
The Jamaican international was immediately loaned back out to Reading but has since finished his loan spell as the Championship season draws to an end. He and Lucas Piazon have returned and trained with the first team.
Hector will be keen to make an impression before the end of the season and Antonio Conte’s arrival. It looks like there will be places up for grabs in the Chelsea defence, as John Terry’s Blues’ career comes to an end.
