Bertrand Traore has arrived in France to complete his move to Lyon, Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed.
The Lyon president revealed the striker is set to finalise his move away from the Premier League champions after spending a season on loan at Ajax.
Speaking to L’Equipe, as reported by Get French Football, Aulas did not reveal the fee that the French side will be paying Chelsea, but it is believed to be somewhere in the region of £16.5 million.
Nothing has been signed. But it is close. He arrived last night in Lyon, there is a little exclusive for you… I am going to return immediately after the assembly to talk with him and his brother David. With Chelsea, we are basically in agreement… I cannot speak about it (the fee), because it has not been entirely finalised. There are several options.
Traore endured a mixed season in the Eredivisie, playing a prominent role in the club’s Europa League campaign, that saw them reach the final of the competition.
The Burkina Faso international featured regularly during Guus Hiddink’s time at Stamford Bridge but Antonio Conte did not see him as part of his plans.
