Felipe Anderson focused on Lazio amid Chelsea links
Strongly linked with a move away from Lazio with Chelsea among those interested, Felipe Anderson has reiterated that he is focused on the final months of the season with Lazio.
Sidelined for the early months of the season with an abductor muscle tear, Anderson returned to the side in mid-December but has struggled to rediscover his best form, starting just twice in Serie A.
Speaking about rumours suggesting he could be off in the summer, the 24-year-old says he’s focused on Lazio for the time being.
It has become normal to hear the rumours involving my name, especially after my second year here in Rome which was very positive.
As I always say, I am focused on Lazio, even more so given the important period the team is going through.
We have a decisive Europa League match next week and we are in the battle for a Champions League place.
Capped once by Brazil, Anderson signed for Lazio in a £6.75m deal from Santos in July 2013 and has adapted well to life in Italian football over the last five seasons, scoring 31 goals and recording 40 assists in 165 appearances for the club.
Reports surfaced earlier this month that Lazio are now prepared to listen to offers for the attacker with Chelsea said to be interested.
