What we learnt: West Ham (A)

Chelsea travelled to the Boleyn Ground to face a West Ham side on top of their game right now while Chelsea have been underperforming on a regular occasion.

The match finished 2-1 to the home side, with the game dividing opinions on the controversial decisions involved. Cesc Fabregas had a goal disallowed for The Blues, although after seeing replays of the decision, it’s proved to be incorrent and the goal should have stood.

To add insult to injury, Nemanja Matic was shown a red card as a result of two yellow cards, both of which were correct. However, Coquelin and Fernandinho have both previously escaped dismissal during the current season for similar incidents. These decisions for me point to double standards, which quite frankly isn’t acceptable in such a high-profile sport.

Jose Mourinho and Silvino Louro were both sent to the stands for their complaints towards officials also. Meltdown, that’s what’s happening.
