Chelsea’s miserable season continued as they slumped to their 4th home defeat this year after Glenn Murray nodded home a late winner for Bournemouth.
Despite a number of opportunities, the Blues failed to break down the resilient Bournemouth defence and were caught out late in the game.
While many fans and experts alike expected Chelsea to turn around their season after a poor start, however, the slow realisation is that Jose Mourinho’s side are simply not good enough this year and the chances of making top four looks almost impossible now.
The inevitable boos rang out over Stamford Bridge at the final whistle and fans will be wondering whether Mourinho’s time is up.
