What did we learn: Porto (H)

After much speculation surrounding Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho in the build-up to a crucial Champions League group decider, the blues were able to silence critics, if at least just for a few day’s

A 2-0 victory at Stamford Bridge against a Porto side who looked an impressive outfit in the away leg earlier on in the season when they trumped the London side 2-1.

Chelsea looked confident from the get-go, with some silky build up play when attacking as well as looking solid defensively. The Blues enjoyed a reasonable amount of success with through balls down the centre, with Diego Costa springing the offside trap only to see his shot saved, which then cannoned off the unfortunate Marcano Sierra and into the net.

Willian provided the goal that finished the game and settled the nerves with a powerful shot into the near post which sent Chelsea on their way to the Champions League Last 16.
