Not only are we celebrating the return of the Premier League after an incredibly dull international break, but Conte and Chelsea fans are also celebrating a brilliant start to the 2016/17 season.
The Blues have well and truly put last year’s nightmare to bed with four wins from four in all competitions, seeing off Burnley, West Ham and Watford in the league, and Bristol Rovers in the EFL Cup.
Conte’s new signings have played a big part in such an impressive start as well.
Michy Batshuayi has already netted three times and laid on one assist, while N’Golo Kante has tightened up what was an incredibly vulnerable midfield with a number of standout performances.
Conte has also strengthened his defensive options, bringing in Marcos Alonso from Fiorentina and the ‘geezer’ himself: David Luiz, who returns after moving to Paris Saint-Germain in 2014.
The acquisitions of Alonso and Luiz on transfer deadline day have left many questioning whether Conte will now change his tactics, or stick with a winning formation.
