Combined XI: Chelsea & Liverpool

Chelsea and Liverpool are set to square off on Friday night at Stamford Bridge in a match that is expected to be a cracker.

The Blues are coming off of a frustrating 2-2 draw at Swansea City in which striker Diego Costa scored both goals, one being an extraordinary bicycle kick. With the draw, they remain undefeated and sit second in the Premier League table under league-leaders Manchester City.

Liverpool are in good form after a dominant 4-1 win over the champions Leicester City at Anfield last Saturday, handing them their second win of the season. Jurgen Klopp’s Reds currently sit sixth in the league table.

However, whilst league positions aren’t important at this stage of the season, clashes between Chelsea and Liverpool always seem to have their fair share of fireworks.

So, we have decided to compare the two sides and make a best possible combined starting XI made up of the two squads.

matchday.
