Chelsea vs Brentford: Tactical analysis

Brentford are the visitors to Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Following a 4-1 win over League One side Peterborough United in the previous round, Chelsea set up a London derby against Championship side Brentford, who easily beat non-league side Eastleigh in the third round.

Chelsea remain at the top of the Premier League table, following a 2-0 win over relegation-threatened Hull City on Sunday. Goals from Diego Costa and Gary Cahill helped Antonio Conte’s side go eight points clear of closest title rivals Arsenal, who sit second.

In the Championship, Brentford currently sit 15th in the league. Dean Smith’s side finished ninth last season, but indifferent form has seen the side slip into 15th. They lost to Wigan in their most recent fixture.

With Chelsea’s fixture against Brentford in the FA Cup coming up, we take a look at Brentford and the possible threats they pose against the Blues.
