Chelsea’s last five FA Cup semi-finals

The FA Cup is back this weekend, and Chelsea play fellow title challengers Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-final at Wembley on Saturday.

To get to this stage of the competition, Chelsea had to beat Premier League opposition Manchester United in the previous round. N’Golo Kante’s lone goal sent Chelsea through, against former manager Jose Mourinho. The Blues have also beaten Wolves, Brentford, and Peterborough in earlier stages of the competition.

Chelsea’s opponents, Tottenham, thrashed League One side Millwall 6-0 in the quarter-finals to set up this tie. Son Heung-min hit a hat-trick, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, and Vincent Janssen were also on the scoresheet for Spurs.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have had a favourable run in the competition, beating Fulham, Wycombe, and Aston Villa in earlier rounds. The Blues will be the first Premier League side that Tottenham will face in the competition this season.

Ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham on Saturday, we take a back at Chelsea’s last five FA Cup semi-final results and see how they turned out.
